1 Postdoctoral and 1 PhD student positions are available to study the perceptual, cognitive and physiological effects of fixational eye movements. The experiments will directly follow from the line of research featured as the Cover Story of Scientific American in August 2007. See lab’s website for other examples of recent publications on this topic. The planned experiments will combine eye-movement tracking with psychophysics and/or single-neuron recordings.
Imperial College is seeking to make three appointments at the interface between neuroscience and engineering. Two of these appointments will be joint lectureships between the Departments of Bioengineering and Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE). The third appointment will be a joint lectureship between the Departments of Bioengineering and Computing.
Applications are invited for a Wellcome Trust-funded postdoctoral fellowship in computational neuroscience in the Nottingham Visual Neuroscience group. The project will examine the neural mechanisms of mid-level vision, as part of a broader multi-disciplinary initiative.
