( at the Gif sur Yvette campus of the CNRS, near Paris, France, seeks a highly motivated individual to work on a neuroinformatics project in the context of a pan-European project on brain-inspired computing (

The project involves development of a database of experimental data
from the visual system, combining diverse datasets from research
labs in London, Debrecen (Hungary), Gif sur Yvette and Marseille, France, with multiple interfaces (web, web-services, and via in-house developed data analysis/acquisition software). The database will provide data for use within the FACETS project ( in models of visual cortex and in the development of novel analog VLSI hardware for neural circuit emulation, and will also be made available to the wider scientific community.
Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering or other field with comparable software engineering experience. Demonstrable expert-level knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), dynamic languages (Python, Perl, Ruby, PHP, etc.), both Linux/Unix and Windows environments, and web development (AJAX, XML, DOM, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, etc.).
