A postdoctoral position is available to work in collaboration with Rufin
VanRullen at the CerCo in Toulouse, France.


The team investigates temporal aspects of visual perception, attention and awareness, using a combination of psychophysical, neuro-imaging (EEG, fMRI, TMS) and computational tools. This position is focused on computer modeling and simulations: programming experience and a strong computational background are necessary, as well as an interest in neuroscience and/or psychology. The applicant will develop and implement neural network models of particular perceptual, attentional and cognitive abilities, with a focus on neural coding through spike timing and inter-areal synchronization dynamics. French language is not a requirement but a willingness to learn would be beneficial. Net salary ranges between 1,850 Euros and 2,300 Euros per month, commensurate with experience. The initial appointment is one year, and can easily be renewed for up to two more years.
