Applications are invited for a full time research position (Bat IIa/E13) in Computational Neuroscience and Neuromechanical Modeling at the Zoological Institute, University of Cologne, Germany.


Within a newly founded Emmy-Noether Research Group a doctoral/postdoctoral research position is available for a motivated researcher who is experienced in the fields of computational neuroscience, nonlinear dynamical systems, optimization and learning algorithms. The applicant will be working on numerical simulations and neuromechanical models to explain the neuronal mechanisms that underlie coordinating information transfer between legs in 6-legged locomotion and will have the opportunity to do his/her PhD if applicable.
