The 1st INCF Congress of Neuroinformatics is scheduled for September 7 – 9, 2008. Neuroinformatics 2008 will focus on dissemination of recent progress and community building in this emerging field. The congress is organized as a single track event, with keynote speakers, workshops, poster sessions, and live demos of neuroinformatics applications.
The Autonomous Intelligent Systems group at the Computer Science Institute of University of Bonn, Germany, has an immediate opening for a PhD candidate or PostDoc in the area of bio-inspired computer vision systems.
The International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility Software Center is still under development. The development team has to date focused on implemention of basic functionality, to allow neuroscience software users to efficiently and effectively find, evaluate, and successfully make use of shared software tools.
NeuralEnsemble is a multilateral effort to coordinate and organise Neuroscience software development efforts into a larger meta-simulator software system, a natural and alternate approach to incrementally address what is known as the complexity bottleneck, presently a major roadblock for neural modelling.
